King of Fighters: Blue Mary's Bio

"This is a rough world and you've got to be tough if you want to make a difference! That was something dad taught me when I was little. I like to think I've lived by those words, but it hasn't been easy.

"My father was an agent of the U.S. Secret Service, and he wanted me to learn how to be tough, too. I never knew my mother, she passed away in an automobile accident just after I was born. When I was old enough to walk, dad sent me to my grandfather, a martial arts master from Japan. By the time I was 18, my schooling and training was done and I knew what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to be like dad, to serve and protect others, and I joined the Southtown Police Department. Being a cop did feel perfect and my fellow officers gave me the nickname Blue Mary! Dad was often on protective detail for the President himself, and one day when I visited him in Washington I met his partner, Butch. We were into each other at first sight and we started dating. It got serious as months passed, and Butch even showed me the basics of a new martial art I could practice, Sambo. It was a wonderful time of my life, but...

"...god, it was a long time ago and I feel like I've moved on, but I still hate talking about this. One day, a group of killers attacked the President's motorcade during a parade. I was in Southtown at the time, and I saw on the news the President was saved and the attackers were killed. But many Secret Service agents died, too...my dad and Butch died.

"Life lost all meaning for me. All I had left was my buddy Anton, my dog. I left the police and...hell, for too long I tried to drink the pain away at The K.O. Bar. I finally got back to my senses, though. I knew dad and Butch wouldn't have wanted me to be lost in my sorrows. They would have wanted me to live my life and be happy! It still didn't feel right to go back to the police then, so I became a private investigator. It was during a case I worked on I met a fellow Southtown native, Terry Bogard. He became one of my best friends, we helped each other against some real trouble...and no, we never were and never will be a couple. I know there are rumors still floating out there, but we're just friends, really! He isn't called the Lone Wolf for nothing!

"Another case got me involved with the King of Fighters Tournament for the first time, and I ran into all that Orochi craziness. I'm glad Terry was also in the tournament, and we worked together again to figure things out. When I found out that scumbag crimelord Geese Howard was the guy who hired me, I quit him like a bad habit! I still can't believe he was once a cop, may he NOT rest in peace! I kept being drawn back to the tournaments after that because of Orochi, NESTS and Those From the Past. I'm glad for my involvement with the KOF, because those experiences helped make me tougher and stronger than ever!

"But I'm so much more thankful for meeting Vanessa. Think women are the weaker sex? Hah, that hottie would change your mind fast! I was so in awe of Vanessa from the first moment I saw her, she's everything I ever wanted to be! And we have a lot in common besides fighting and drinking. Vanessa loves her work, just like me...and she lost so much because of this crazy world, too. I'm so beyond grateful for knowing her.

"Wow, it's been over ten years since. Some things have changed, just like Southtown...and don't call it New Southtown either, it hasn't changed where it really counts! I came back and now I'm a special agent for the police. Yeah, I came back home and it feels good. I lost dear Anton because of old age a while back. I managed to make peace with that, and I hope he's resting well with dad and Butch. I'm not lonely, though! I get together most every night with Vanessa to have drinks at the bar...yep, she also came back home. We even work together at times when it looks like organized crime wants to get back into Southtown or the shit's going to hit the fan some other way, and the police aren't shy about hiring a mercenary for extra help!

"Me and Vanessa are a little annoyed that we haven't been invited to the next King of Fighters though, but it's okay! It's wonderful how close we are now. And...

"...and more and more I've really wanted to tell Vanessa how I feel, that I want us to be closer. For the longest time I thought I was only attracted to guys, but...that's changed, too. No, it started changing the first time I saw Vanessa. She is so hot and so amazing. She might even be the only one for me, but I don't know how to tell her. A part of me is afraid to.

"Ha-ha, I'm sorry, dad...I guess I'm not so tough after all!"
