Description
I wanted to show you something I did before I even started The Perfect Mirror, the story of Oriana Lawson becoming Miranda Lawson's partner and perfect mirror image. All along I wanted to bring moments of the story to life using XPS, and I wanted to test out how Oriana would look gradually transforming into Miranda's perfect twin before I got into it. My first worry was that the change made sense visually, and in stages...as Oriana's confidence and her skill increases as she learns everything Miranda knows, she lets herself change little by little until Oriana becomes the perfect mirror to Miranda.
In the story the transformation happens over a long time, over four years! The top picture shows Oriana before her change in Part Two, the middle one is my test of every stage of her change before that, and the bottom picture is Oriana in her black femme fatale catsuit, her transformation complete in the last part. (And yes, the similarities between the panels from Parts 2 and 7 are intentional!) For her first stage, I placed Oriana's head with one of Miranda's alternate uniforms...simple! But I had to wonder how each stage afterward would look, and fortunately things progressed very easily, mainly because of the great work 
did creating an Oriana Lawson model who much more closely favored Miranda than the Oriana we saw in Mass Effect 2 and 3. The next stage in the middle pic is giving Oriana Miranda's brunette hair...and thankfully, it wasn't too much of a shift visually to use Miranda's model itself! The last part copies the Blonde Miranda of 
, completing the transformation. (In the art for the last part of the story there was a stage before that, though, of Miranda blonde but without the final makeup, which I thought of as I put it all together!) At no point did I have to meshmod...I still don't know how to do that.
I hope you enjoyed seeing Oriana before and after she became a femme fatale and all the stages it took to get her there!
